Selamat Detang Malaysia!

Hey there guys! So I’m back with another blog post, this is the one where I tell you about the amazing trip that I had to Malaysia and what all stuff you can do there to make your trip absolutely fantastic! It’s been around 3 months since my voyage but the memories are still fresh. We went to Malaysia in October and the weather was quite summer like but not too harsh. Occasional breezes made it all very pleasant. The capital city Kuala Lumpur is stunning especially at the night time. We stayed in the Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and had a fabulous experience. With that said, let’s find out what all places you are required to go to in Malaysia to make your trip a great success!

1. THE PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS

If you are into skyscrapers and tall, gorgeous buildings then the Petronas Twin Towers is a must visit spot for you. They are the tallest twin towers in the world and look splendid both during the morning and night time. It’s beautifully lit during the night and is accompanied with a small sky bridge. Overall being in the presence of these gorgeous towers will make you feel wonderful!

2. THEAN HOU TEMPLE

This is a peaceful Chinese Temple visited by tourists from around the World. It looks very colourful and vibrant. It offers a delightful opportunity for people to immerse in the Chinese culture and traditions. Surprisingly, during our visit, many couples were getting married there and a musical band was also playing which made it all very exciting!


3. ISTANA NEGARA

Istana Negara is basically a palace where the monarch of Malaysia lives. It’s architectural style is extremely impressive and it’s a great spot to click a few Instagram worthy selfies or photographs.


4. THE KUALA LUMPUR TOWER

The KL Tower or the KL Menara is yet another stunning skyscraper which offers a great light show during the night time. You have to buy a ticket to go to the sky deck where you can have a breath taking view of the whole City. Binoculars are also provided to have a detailed analysis of the hustle bustle of the beautiful City. It’s also a great place to buy some souvenirs.

5. AQUARIA KLCC

This is a huge aquarium, home to many unique species of fish and other aquatic life. It’s a great place to visit if you have children along with you as it offers a wide variety of things to observe and learn. Clicking photographs is unfortunately not allowed but the experience was excellent.

6. SURIA KLCC

Suria KLCC is a colossal shopping centre home to some top international brands, it’s a must visit place if you are a shopaholic. It has many restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines from around the Globe. But if you eat non-vegetarian food then NASI KANDAR is just the right traditional food to eat while in Malaysia. It’s a very popular Malaysia dish which comprises of steamed rice, different kinds of curries and meat, Its available for vegetarians as well, with vegetables substituting the meat!


7. BATU CAVES

Batu Caves is a religious Hindu shrine. It is dedicated to Lord Murugan and the main place where the Hindu festival of Thaipusam is celebrated. You’ll be welcomed with a beautiful, golden statue of Lord Murugan. After climbing a few steps you’ll reach at the entrance of the holly caves which are becoming more and more popular among foreign tourists. It also has some shops to get precious souvenirs and some refreshments. Visiting the caves itself is a great way to get refreshed!



8. FREEDOM SQUARE

This place is perfect to have a stroll, admire the beautiful architecture and click some cool photographs. You’ll witness many locals around. The place was under construction during our visit but it did not dampen the beauty of the famous tourist spot.

9. LANGKAWI

Saving the best for the last, Langkawi is a tropical, exquisite and a magnificent place to visit in Malaysia. It has some superb beaches offering great water sports. Our group stayed in the hotel Frangipani and the change from the City life to the relaxing beach life was exceptional. It takes 1 hour to reach Langkawi from Kuala Lumpur by flight and the weather around the year is very much pleasant. Sitting by the beach side and having a couple of beers, swimming in the luxurious hotel pool, indulging in water sports and the welcoming atmosphere of the resort was just the perfect way to end our trip!
